About
Green and Sustainable Finance Transversal Program (GSF)
The objective of this Interdisciplinary Research Program is to boost applied academic research in the field of green and sustainable finance. We aim at addressing the most critical research issues such as scenario analysis, impact measurement and ESG risk modelling by mutualizing the research effort among both academic institutions and the financial industry financial sponsors while expanding the overall resources to make sure these new emerging challenges are properly addressed and communicated to a large audience. The Transversal Program also aims to back up and inspire the regulatory bodies as opposed to influencing them. Such objectives require narrowing the gaps between programs, research agendas and analytical methods as well as enhancing skills to reach practitioners in order to allow an impact on their processes, their governance as well as financial tools and instruments.
To achieve this goal, we develop the following process:
- Identification of the critical academic gaps with a view to fill them either through existing or new research initiatives
- Annual review of the existing research programs, on an interdisciplinary basis, to evaluate their sustainable finance agenda
- Integration of existing mainstream financial research programs with a view to greening them.
- Setting up of a Green Data facility with the aim of building a consistent ESG data framework to support all research initiatives.
