Paris Dauphine-PSL University, Toulouse School of Economics and the National Museum of Natural History invite the submission of papers and abstracts for the 24th Global Conference on Environmental Taxation (GCET), to be held in Paris on September 6 to 8, 2023. The theme for this year’s conference is “Climate & Biodiversity: tackling global footprints”. More information about the conference can be found at www.gcet24.fr.
Abstracts by academic scholars are encouraged as well as abstracts from experts representing national or international administrations and organizations, and from experts of the private sector.
The scientific program for GCET24 will cover issues relating to environmental taxation and focus on economic tools to tackle mitigation issues, biodiversity losses and climate vulnerability, including but not limited to:
• Challenges of agriculture and forestry for carbon sequestration, non-CO2 GHG and biodiversity,
• Challenges of urban areas for land use, CO2 emissions and climate-resilience,
• Supranational regulations to tackle domestic and imported CO2 emissions and biodiversity losses, with a special focus on the recent reform of EU-ETS,
• Business and biodiversity : Economical and financial risks and opportunities associated with the decline of biodiversity, nature-based solutions.
The submission deadline is June 1 st, 2023.
